As we drove through Tunnel View and Glacier Point, seeing the waterfalls and Half Dome up close, we could only be in awe by the scene before our eyes. Many of us could resonate with David’s response to creation,“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:1,3-4)Though we are so small in comparison to nature, when we see our rightful place in this world, we are reminded that there is a Creator who is mindful of us and loves us. Struggling up the hiking trail together and making it to the top was one unforgettable bonding experience that only reveals how wonderful relationships and friendships really are.
